When a child enters a foster or adoptive home following a history of drug exposure, abuse, neglect or trauma, that child will significantly impact the family. Sometimes the experience is not what foster/adoptive parents imagined. This workshop will provide caregivers with the tools to support their journey as they parent children who come from hard places. It will also provides a practical how-to approach with specific tasks and skills to support foster and adoptive parenting. This training is provided through the Foster & Kinship Education Program at COS. Please register with Miriam Sallam by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 559-737-4842.
